Convention Swap Favs

Here are my top 5 convention swaps, THAT HAD NAMES ON THEM. I actually like some other ones, but they didn’t have names, so I couldn’t give them credit here.

Note the little pom-pom for the reindeer’s nose. Isn’t that cute? I also liked how she punched 1/8″ holes on the sides of the scallop circle and inserted her ribbon. This stamp set is called “Deer Friends”, a hostess Level 2 set.

I really like how she used the wide grosgrain as a planter, and masked the Canvas background stamp to a specific area. The stamp set is called Wonderful You.

This card was the first one I swapped for at Convention. Notice the great use of the punches for her lilies. I think she used the scallop edge punch or the scallop circle punch, then used the small oval punch to take 1+ of the scallops. So nice!

I’m not sure if you can see it, but this card has the Faux alligator skin technique. After you add your embossing powder to your paper (Versamark really good!), take your bone folder or embossing stylus and draw HARD lines through the powder. Once you heat up the powder, these lines will be without embossing and look like the texture of alligator skin. I also like the coloring on the alligator. 🙂

I liked the color combinations on this card, I don’t know why. I guess it’s because I like pink! And the chocolate chip is such a nice complement.

Can’t wait to see what everyone will come up with next year!
