Here’s another variation on making an easy bow. This one has more loops, so you have a fuller (fancier?) bow to put onto your project.
You will need a length of ribbon (depending upon how full you want your bow to be), a button, and linen thread. I suggest keeping your linen thread on its holder. You may not know how much you will need, and this helps keep waste to a minimum.
Prep your button by threading the linen thread through, and leaving a big loop at the back.
Next, lay your ribbon back and forth (like a zig-zag) to create the number of loops you want. In this example, I wanted two loops per side.
Grab it in the middle, making sure loops are even.
Put your loops through the loop of linen thread in your button.
Lay down button and ribbon, making sure the button is in the middle.
Pull the linen thread tight, tie a knot, and adjust your ribbon loops. That’s it! Now it’s ready for your project.
