Once I made my first gatefold card with the Stitched Nested Labels dies, I brainstormed other focal points. I just received the Pressed Petals specialty DSP, and found a sheet that contains different panels to cut apart and use. One included a bouquet that was just the right size.
Paper: Rococo Rose, Very Vanilla, Mossy Meadow, Pressed Petals specialty DSP
Accessories: Stitched Nested Labels dies, Pressed petals specialty washi tape
Wow, that came together in no time! That could almost qualify for #simplestamping, except for the die cutting of the opening. (You could leave that out, and it would still be amazing!)
To cut the DSP to cover the flaps, I first cut a piece for the full size, 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″. I glued it down to the first flap, then trimmed it off. Add the remainder to the second flap, and you’re done. Just be aware of the pattern, such that both sides are right side up, and meet up in the center, if needed.
The inside is again a flip-up card, with the front decorated in the focal point of the overall card. The panel I cut from the DSP was a tad short for an even mat all around (for the card on which it sits), so I added a strip of the coordinating washi tape to the bottom. It works!
I also added the same washi tape to the inside of the inner card.
