Happy Father’s Day

My crafting stuff is still in limbo, so I totally love that I have the Paper Pumpkin kits (and the other kits in the catalog) to use. The May Paper Pumpkin kit was specifically designed for the “manly” occasions such as Father’s Day, so I turned to that for this year’s card.

However, I didn’t want the kit as-is. I’m a crafter, right? I had limited time and brain cells to devote to the dilemma, though, so I did what I saw other demonstrators showed on their blogs — I substituted the orange corrugated paper for another designer series paper. This way, I customized my kit, but in a fast way! I opted for a sheet from the Serene Scenery designer series paper stack. I used the one with the dandelions. It was hard to tell with the paper by itself, and I bet you can hardly tell on the card.

I like how the paper has a gradient of color. Such a nice effect for a card.

Now, I can also save that corrugated for some other project… hah!

Sneak Peek for June Kit

Every once in a while, Stampin’ Up! will post a sneak peek of their next Paper Pumpkin kit. The best place to look is the Paper Pumpkin Facebook page. And they did show a picture of some of the contents of the kit. It’s not much, but it gives you an idea of the colors.

Maybe they’ll tease us with more pictures before the ONEDAYDEAL promo is over tomorrow night, and the deadline for signing up for the June kit.

Paper Pumpkin for $5

Ever thought about trying out Paper Pumpkin, but didn’t for one reason or another? Well, here’s a GOOD reason to try it out.

For approximately one day, any new customer who signs up for Paper Pumpkin can get their first kit for just $5 (plus tax). Normally, each monthly kit is $19.95, which is still a good deal. You get materials for the month’s projects (typically 6-8 cards, or sometimes 3D projects), a stamp set exclusive to that month’s kit, and an ink spot. Your first kit also comes with an acrylic block.

I love these kits for quick cards for which you didn’t anticipate but need right away. (Can anyone say “I almost forgot Father’s Day?”)

Sign up starting today at 5pm Mountain Time, or until Friday June 10 at 11:50pm Mountain Time, and you’ll get your first kit for $5. Don’t forget to use promo code: ONEDAYDEAL. You can skip any month or just decide not to get more kits. The deadline for each month is the 10th, and kits ship around the 15th.

Offer does not apply to current customers or prepaid subscriptions. Customers are identified by the email address they use when creating an account.

Let me know if you have questions or need help. Try it and have fun!

P.S. If you’re looking for a gift for someone, prepaid subscriptions are great, too!

New Catalog is Here!

Once again, we are in transition. I hope to post ANY project at some point. Thanks for your patience.

In the meantime, it’s June and that means we now have a new catalog! To go along with that, we have two promotions, one for hosting and one for joining.

In the month of June, any order (individual or workshop) over $350 gets an extra $35 in Stampin’ Rewards! That means that instead of starting with $42 in free stuff to choose, you start with $77 to choose. Stampin’ Rewards are percent-based, so the higher your total, the more free stuff you get. Once your order hits $450, you also get to choose one item for half-price!

If you decide that you like a lot of stuff, why not get it at a discount? Join as a demonstrator for $99, and you get up to $125 in product with no shipping, just tax. (If you bought $125 in product, you’d pay shipping AND tax.) Plus, in the month of June, you can add in 2 stamp sets of your choice FREE! That’s a bonus right there.

But, if you’ve got more on your wish list, as a demonstrator, you now can order all that stuff at a discount.

What’s the catch? Nothing. There is no obligation to buy more than the starter kit. There is a quarterly minimum to stay active, but that doesn’t apply until the end of September. You won’t be penalized if you decide to drop.

Let me know if you have any questions. My website was updated recently, but some of the information seems to be out of date…
