November Monthly Newsletter

It’s that time again! Time sure flies! The weather is finally noticeably cooler, and Daylight Savings is about to end (about time! haha!).

October was a flurry of sales and deals and new releases. I could hardly keep up! I’m glad that some of you were able to catch some of it. I try my best to post new things here, the day the announcement is made. I am assuming that you wouldn’t want an email newsletter hitting your inbox each time there’s something new (but if you do, let me know and I can do something about that). I’m still limiting newsletters to once a month.

On that note, let’s get this month’s newsletter started!

Project of the Month

What’s a newsletter without a little bit of inspiration?

Stamp set: Magnificent Maple (Holiday catalog)

Ink: Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Chocolate Chip

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla, Sahara Sand, Pumpkin Pie, Sweater Weather DSP (Holiday catalog)

Accessories: Expressions Thinlits dies (Holiday catalog), Multipurpose Adhesive sheets

I had a different vision of what I wanted for this card, but the leaves were bigger than I expected (or remembered, actually). I could have chopped off the stems, but I chose to leave them on.

I used the Multipurpose adhesive sheets to back the Sahara Sand cardstock before using the thinlits to cut out “thankful”. I also saved the “extra” waxed paper/liner that you get when exposing the first side of the adhesive, and used it between the die and the cardstock. I really makes the phrase pop out much more easily. All I had to do was lightly tug on the extra liner, and it all popped out. The first time I cut out “thankful”, I forgot and ended up ripping the word apart while trying to remove it from the die.

The only thing I don’t like is that the “shreds” you get along the edge of the die-cut are now black-and-white from the liner. 🙂

Pop and Place Tags

Here are some easy gift tags in Stampin’ Up! shapes! No need to own the dies or punches with these. (But, feel free to pick up any of your favorite shapes. Just thought I’d mention that!)

There are two of each sheet, some sheets have multiple tags (some of the same shape, some of different shapes). The sheets with the smaller tags also come perforated so that you can use the negative pieces for other projects.

Of course, no tag is complete without matching stamps. The Christmas Tagables set was created specifically to coordinate with this tag kit (and the punches and dies on which it is based).

You can buy the tags and stamps separately, or as a bundle. You can even buy a kit that has the bundle with a Soft Suede ink spot and a clear-mount block.

You can view it all, either at the online store, or on this handy flyer.
