August 2013 Newsletter

I hope you missed the newsletters, but not TOO much. Life just got in the way, and I hadn’t been on top of things enough to have had things in place to send out newsletters when things really got crazy.

I am going to try something different this month. You will have noticed that the newsletter in the email is a bit smaller. I decided to put all of the details on one page on my blog, and have you see just a summary in the email. I hope you like this format better. Drop me a line and let me know what you think! The other option I have been thinking about is to break things up into smaller pieces and send out something once per week instead of once per month. I may not always have a project to show, but each email will highlight just ONE promotion (or two) at a time. If there are less than 4 promotions per month, I will send less newsletters. What do you think?

You’re here for inspiration, so let’s start with a project. Since the holiday catalog is going live today, I thought the project should have some of the new awesome stuff on it!

Stamp set: Halloween Hello (Holiday Catalog)

Ink: VersaMark, Pumpkin Pie

Paper: Basic Gray, Basic Black, Perfect Plum, Whisper White, Witches Brew DSP (Holiday Catalog)

Come back tomorrow, and I’ll show you another card with glitter. I’ll also give you some tips I learned on using it.

It’s the kit from May and can be used to create a mini album. Use the links provided here, or to the right, and you will automatically select me as your demonstrator.

Also, remember that when you first sign up, that you will start with the Welcome Kit. If you think you will want the August kit as well, please contact me. I can make sure you can get one.

They’ve been called flip cards, flip flop cards, swing cards, and more-but they have always been a bit tricky to create. Not anymore! Our amazing new Thinlits Card Dies cut and score to create a card that flips in just one step.

Item Description Price
133479 Label Card Thinlits Die $32.95
133480 Circle Card Thinlits Die $32.95

There are some products you just have to see in action before you realize how much you need them, right? This is one of them!

These new card dies come with extra die pieces that have versatile designs, so you can use them on other projects, not just flip cards. (The Circle Card Thinlits Die comes with 10 total pieces; the Label Card Thinlits Die comes with nine total pieces.)

The flyer has images, items numbers, and suggested coordinating stamp sets for each die set.

Better yet, here’s a video from Stampin’ Up!.

The new Holiday Catalog goes live today. The catalog is subtitled “Your Guide to Holiday Happiness”, and it’s true. You’ll see samples, both simple and stepped up, for what you can do with the new goodies. The catalog is arranged differently this year. First, they present to you inspiration galore, then they get down to business listing all of the fun items.

If you have a smart phone, you will see icons throughout the catalog that can show you short videos regarding that product. If you don’t have a smart phone (like me–I like to say I have a dumb phone), you can still view these videos.

In the 2013-2014 annual catalog, we offer the Stampin’ Write Marker New Color Kit (item 130034, page 163) to help you update your Many Marvelous Marker pack. Now, we’ve sweetened the deal. For a limited time, from June 26 until October 31, you can buy any of the new colors in the pack or on their own! Go ahead, fill in the missing pieces in your collection or buy the whole lot.

Check out the flyer to get all of the details. I will also keep the link to the right.
