Owl Occasion, Part 4

I had one last owl sitting on my desk, with a santa hat. He was just begging to be made into a winter card. Okay, I said, but we’ll have to use some non-traditional colors. I miss using pink! 🙂

Stamp set: Owl Occasions (Holiday catalog)

Ink: Early Espresso, Soft Suede, Pumpkin Pie marker, Raspberry Ripple

Paper: Pink Pirouette, Cherry Cobbler, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Be of Good Cheer DSP

Accessories: Apothecary Accents Framelits, Primrose Petals stitched satin ribbon, Stampin’ dimensionals

Sorry, no particular sketch followed this time. At least, not consciously…

The lighter polka dots in the DSP are lighter shades of Cherry Cobbler and Gumball Green. However, I thought they went well with Bashful Blue, Pink Pirouette, and Primrose Petals. Hope that doesn’t offend your sense of color. 🙂

The bow on the card is a fake bow. Cut a length of ribbon, tape the ends together (butt them together) so that it makes a circle, then flatten the circle such that the tape is in the middle. Cut another length of ribbon. With the tape facing up, slip the second piece of ribbon at a right angle under the flattened circle and knot once (over, under, and through, but just once). Flip the whole thing over, adjust, and that’s it! If I remember, I’ll put a little mini tutorial to the right…

Hey, did the owl just wiggle his toes? 🙂
