Finishing WCM Day/Week
I finished up the last card that I started on World Card Making Day (October 1). I actually finished it on Friday; I didn’t have time to post it until today.
Operation Write Home asks for all occasion and birthday cards for either gender. I think this one fits the bill. Again, it’s a mix of current and retired product. You will see that everything came from Stampin’ Up!, though!
Stamp set: None
Paper: Real Red, Pacific Point, Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Whisper White, Celebrations DSP (retired)
Accessories: Corner rounder punch, Petite Pennants punch, Whisper White taffeta, 1/4″ circle punch (retired)
To make the tops of the birthday hats, I punched out a 1/4″ circle. Then, I notched it somewhat evenly around the circle. Don’t notch too deeply, otherwise there won’t be much of a middle to hold everything together.
The hats were all glued down onto the Bashful Blue piece. The DSP piece and Pacific Point piece were attached to the Real Red base, then I tied the ribbon around the bottom. Finally, I attached the Bashful Blue piece over the ribbon with dimensionals. Super easy!
So, I ended up making 13 cards for World Card Making Day. Not bad, when I put my mind to it! 🙂
