Add Some Cherry to the Sketch
After making the card from yesterday’s post, I stumbled across a current color challenge at Splitcoast (mostly because I haven’t been checking it as often as I used to). It’s a combo that I like a lot, so I wanted to use it on a new card. Then, of course, was the challenge of what to make. That’s when I decided to re-make yesterday’s card in the challenge colors.
The colors are: Crumb Cake, Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler. Neutral can be Whisper White or Very Vanilla. For extra credit, add some bling!
So, here’s the card:
Stamp set: Strength and Hope (Summer Mini), Just Believe
Ink: StazOn Jet Black, Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Flower Garden textured impressions folder (Summer Mini), 2-1/2″ circle punch (Carryover), Cherry Cobbler seam binding (Carryover), Modern label punch, Basic jewels rhinestones, Smooch Spritz Vanilla Shimmer, Stampin’ dimensionals, Sponge daubers
Doesn’t it just look great in the different colors?
Oh, and did you see the bling I added for the “extra credit”? The most obvious is the rhinestones on the sentiment, of course. But,, did you see the Smooch Spritz? It adds just a little something to the focal image.
I also kept the focal image softly sponged with Crumb Cake instead of adding the darker color, too. Don’t know why. I guess I liked the softer colors accented by the Cherry Cobbler.
