…and lots of it!
I wanted to play with the Strength & Hope stamp set (and many other things, too, but there is never enough time!). I like two-toned stamping, and this is what I had in mind with this stamp set. Oh, and the idea to layer vellum on DSP along with stamping the word collage from this set.
After I was done, I realized I made a really pink card. That’s the only color on here, except for Basic Gray!
Stamp set: Strength & Hope (Summer Mini)
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink
Paper: Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Vellum cardstock, Shimmery White, Subtles Patterns DSP Stack
Accessories: Sponge daubers, Stampin’ dimensionals
See what I mean? All pink! I wanted some shimmer on the butterfly. I opted for stamping onto Shimmery White cardstock instead of using glitter. Not sure why. Does it show up well?
I originally stamped directly onto the vellum cardstock before layering onto the DSP sheet. The word collage was not muted enough for the look I wanted, plus I kept having the darnedest (is that a word?) time getting the words lined up, even with the Stamp-a-ma-jig! For some reason, I had better luck placing the words on the DSP piece. Plus, I like the look of the vellum over both the stamping and the DSP.
How did I attach the vellum? I put small dots of Tombow Mono Multi in the corners. It is almost invisible, that I didn’t have to put anything in the corners to hide them. Which is good…I originally was thinking of putting rhinestones or pearls but decided it would be too much.
See how nearly invisible it is?
