Convention Swap: Shoebox Card 2

Here’s the second card I made for the shoebox swap we were in during Convention. This is the card that I made as MY contribution to the swap. As you may see, this one is more my style (Hey, Janine, I still want to know how you figured out this one was mine!)

Vintage Amour Card

Stamp set: Artistic Etchings, En Francais background

Ink: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, VersaMark

Paper: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Basic Black, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Baroque Border Wheel, Antique brass brad, Gold Stampin’ emboss powder, Matchbox Bigz XL die, Small oval punch, Very Vanilla 1/8″ taffeta ribbon, Stampin’ dimensionals

Don’t worry; I was nice enough to emboss and cut out the key ahead of time. I thought embossing during the shoebox swap would be too messy. Not to mention the fussy cutting of the key (which I like to do anyway). I also stamped the wheel and sentiment ahead of time.

Oh, and this reminds me of a story from Convention. We had a session in which we were being coached on ways to share the passion of Stampin’ Up! either as a workshop or as a demonstratorship. The speaker (who is not affiliated with Stampin’ Up!) was talking about dimensionals, but she couldn’t remember the name. She called them “the foam lifty-uppy things”. šŸ™‚

And during a demonstration, a fellow demonstrator called the paper piercer a “pokey-doodle”. Ah, gotta love our vocabulary! šŸ™‚
