What’s Blooming?

Ah choo! Are your allergies starting to kick in too? I took a gander around the “garden” a few days ago… and took a few pictures.

Flowers:

Lavender

Lookee at my daisies! This is the same plant from last year. Yay! I don’t have to plant new ones.

Gerbera Daisies

Calla Lily

Wild Rose

Here’s the artichoke plant. I can’t see any buds yet, but here’s to hoping we’ll get a good crop this year. I swear, this plant is so determined! It seems to die off at the end of summer, and look how well it looks in the spring! The plant has to be at least 2 feet tall.

The cherry trees are in bloom, too! We were worried, because we could see trees blooming everywhere else. Then, the blossoms only slowly appeared on the bottom of the tree. The tree filled out a bit, but not completely full. Still, the trees look healthy, so we’re hoping we can get cherries this year before the birds get to them.

So, of course, the card I show you today has to have flowers. The stamping was inspired by another company’s printed cardstock. When I saw it, I thought it looked liked they stamped three flowers in random patterns in the same three colors. And, of course, we had a very similar looking flower and very similar inks, and that is how the stamped panel was born!

Scattered Flower Card

Stamp set: Cheep Talk, Whimsical Words (SAB, sorry!)

Ink: Pretty in Pink, Lavender Lace, Bashful Blue, Summer Sun, Rose Red, Chocolate Chip marker

Paper: Lavender Lace, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue, Very Vanilla

Accessories: Black gingham ribbon, Sponge daubers, Stampin’ dimensionals

Pretty simple idea, huh? But, you can totally make it yourself!
