January Project

Lots of things happening this month. In just a couple of days, the sales period for the Holiday Mini will end, along with the associated Holiday Gift Guide promotion. Then, on January 5, starts Sale-A-Bration, along with the Occasions Mini Catalog. There are a lot of new products in there; I can’t wait to play (as demonstrators, we have the opportunity to pre-order items; I did preorder a couple of sets, but I’m waiting for Sale-A-Bration to get the rest!)

Okay, here’s the project that was included in the January newsletter. I really wanted to make the title of today’s post “Drunken Sock Monkey”. You know, does that mean the monkey is drunk or the sock? English is WAY too confusing sometimes! (Or maybe I just don’t know it correctly!) 🙂

Cheerful Monkey Card

Stamp set: Sock Monkey, Cheers to You, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Crazy for Cupcakes

Ink: Barely Banana, Really Rust, StazOn Jet Black, Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy, Close to Cocoa marker, Real Red marker, Not Quite Navy marker, Crushed Curry marker

Paper: Barely Banana, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Naturals Ivory, Bashful Blue

Accessories: Stampin’ dimensionals

I cut all of the pieces out for the focal image. I decided I’d rather use different pieces, than composing the whole thing using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. Besides, the whole thing looks more 3-D this way…

And, I’m sure you’re being polite for not mentioning the little smudge in the sentiment! Don’t you hate when the LAST thing you do is not quite right? Ugh! Must have had a fuzzy on the ink pad, or something…

Well, anyway, Happy New Year!
