Scallop Christmas Card

As I was going through blog-land, I found a card shared by Linda Heller on her blog. I liked the layout, so I thought I’d use it as a springboard for another card using Tree Trimmings. I ended up orienting my card in the other direction and a whole bunch of other things…

Scallop Ornament Card

Stamp set: Tree Trimmings, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive

Paper: Bridesmaid Specialty (I really love this!), Chocolate Chip textured, Real Red, Old Olive, Whisper White

Accessories: Scallop Circle #2 Bigz, Circle Scissors Plus, Stamp-a-ma-jig, Word Window punch, Modern Label punch, Real Red polka-dot grosgrain ribbon

Don’t you like how the word window punch layers nicely with the modern label punch? I keep forgetting about that, and think the only way to layer is with the modern label shape that comes in the Movers & Shapers set.

And, don’t you like how the specialty paper makes this look really fancy? 🙂 Oh, and since it’s a light color, you don’t need to put a layer inside so you can write your message.

I’m also getting the hang of the circle scissors… So exciting to get a larger circle for layering.
