Swaps from April Meeting
Here are the rest of the swaps from the April demonstrator meeting. Hopefully everyone is okay with me posting them here…
It’s pretty neat to see what everyone comes up with. I know I keep saying that, but we have a pretty cool group. 🙂
These are in no particular order…
The first card is from Melinda (HI!). Her card uses Cheep Talk. I like how she uses a different color palette than has been used in the catalog.
The next card was made by Kim, from Colorado/Utah. She used the Bird on a Branch set. Her black ink came out very BLACK. It’s pretty neat. I wonder if she used Staz-On? Oh, and check out the one flower on the left that is cut out and layered.
The next card was made by Janine. Ooo, don’t those olives from Cheers to You look yummy? 🙂
The next card is by Lorraine. She doesn’t like to make multiples of the same card, so this is an original. All of her cards were based upon the large flower image in the Tea Party DSP (also in the stamp set Playful Petals). The sentiment is from the stamp set Soft Summer in the Mini Catalog.
The next card is by Kelly. She used Branch Out. I really like the colors. Looks like she sponged some color around the tree, as well as stamping the leaves. I think she combined Cameo Coral and Kiwi Kiss. Don’t they look great together?
The last three cards all use the Fifth Avenue Floral set. Cindy’s card, below, also uses Garden Greetings for the sentiment.
Her card was pretty clever; it also contains a bookmark! It’s held in place by the sentiment and the slit punched on the lower right.
This card was made by Tina. I like how formal the card looks. The dry embossing on the Basic Gray cardstock has quite a bit of visual appeal, and the white embossing just pops out at you. Oh, and the Elegant Eggplant ribbon gives just a nice bit of color.
The final card is by Renee. This is the first time she’s swapped with us (since I’ve joined the group, anyway). She lives in the Sacramento area, so obviously she can’t join us at our meetings. I’ve met her at Convention, though. She also used the Manhattan Flower embossing folder. Isn’t the color combination great? It’s not one you would automatically think of, but it works really well.
And, look what she did to the back of her card! It’s just like getting a card from Hallmark. Way cool.
Can’t wait to see what’s in store next month. I’m hoping my supplies will be accessible then. We’re looking for a new place to live and may be in transition around that time.
