Post-It Holder

A quick post for today…

I’ve been busy with swaps on Splitcoast (I may post pics of these on a later date). I just recently made a post-it note holder for one of the hostesses of these swaps. I think I may have posted something similar before (for the holidays?) but this one has a different closure.

Stamp set: Goody-Goody Gumdrops

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Paper: Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Candy Lane DSP

Accessories: Sticky Strip, Scallop edge punch, Stampin’ dimensionals

Other: Basic Grey magnet, Fastenater, Mini gel pen

Here is the inside, so you can see one part of the closure:

So, at the top of the picture, you can see the Fastenater staple that I used. It’s steel (not aluminum), so it is attracted to a magnet. The magnet is hidden in the strip where the pen goes.

I put the nice side of the staple on the inside, because that’s the side you will see (and holds better to the magnet). The prongs are covered first by the DSP on the front cover, and then by the decorative strip with the ice cream image. You can hardly tell the prongs are there.

I left a very small margin around the post-it; I think I cut everything 1/8″ larger than the post-it. If you want the instructions to this project, let me know, and I can generate more detailed instructions.
