No, not scraping! 🙂 (Although, if we lived on the East coast right now, that’s what we may be doing to get out of the house…)
My mom and I took a scrapbook class today… even though it’s with a different company, I always think it’s fun to get new ideas. (Oh, and the last class I took, don’t worry. I still have ideas rolling around in my head that I need to play with on paper, etc.) We used lots of paper from October Afternoon. Pretty interesting; is eclectic the right word? There are ledger designs mixed in with damask, cross-stitch, gingham, flowers, etc. You get the picture. We made pages with pockets and flip-outs. So fun!
Here’s an interesting tidbit (for us, anyway). She asked at the beginning if anyone didn’t take a class from her before (a lot of people were greeting her like she sees them all the time). So, we raise our hand. During the class, she talked about how she used to work for Anna Griffin (design team) and also taught at CKU. That’s when the light bulb went off. Turns out we took a mini-album class from her at CKU-Orlando in 2007. She taught an Anna Griffin class… with a lot of pockets and flip-outs. Too cool! I thought she had looked familiar, as well as her style. Oh, and she took pictures of all of the students. Wow, how many teachers do that? 🙂
